Isovitexin (or homovitexin, saponaretin) is a flavone. the apigenin-6-C-glucoside. It can be found in the passion flower and the açaí palm.

Isovitexin is known as a flavones, a class of flavonoids. Isovitexin have been studied for their antiradical activities in the process of metabolisms. Isovitexin have also been studied for beneficial effects against atherosclerosis, osteoporosis and certain cancers.

Isovitexin is a phytochemical found in medicinal herbs with antioxidant properties. Isovitexin has also been used in a study to investigate the inhibitory activity of Gentiana lutea extracts on the enzyme myeloperoxidase (MPO), as well as the antioxidant activity of these extracts and their correlation with the total polyphenol content.
